CONFERENCES COMING UP OF INTEREST TO MUNICIPALITIES
September 4 -- Solarize Westchester and Land Use Planning for Solar Energy are two events on the same day that will explore ways communities can benefit from NY State's $1 billion commitment to clean solar energy with energy cost savings and local job creation. Sustainable Westchester is a partner with Solarize Westchester.
September 12 – Westchester Climate Change Conference will focus on the impacts of climate change in Westchester. Experts will discuss the formidable threats of climate change to the County and outline solutions and strategies available to municipalities to address these threats.
The day-long event, which will be held at the New York State Judicial Institute at Pace Law School in White Plains, is presented by Pace University Law School’s Center for Environmental Legal Studies and Federated Conservationists of Westchester County, and co-sponsored by Sustainable Westchester.
