BDA Seminar Announced – 27 April 2022
“Drilling in Support of Net Carbon Zero Scotland by 2045”
The British Drilling Association (BDA) is pleased to announce the next physical seminar - “Drilling in Support of Net Carbon Zero Scotland by 2045” - sponsored by WJ UK, which will be held 27th April 2022 at Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh.

The seminar, which will immediately follow the BDA’s Annual General Meeting, promises to be both engaging and educational, with many high-level speakers already confirmed, including Andy Mace, sustainability, carbon and climate change specialist and lead of Arup's environment and sustainability team across Scotland, Belfast and the Northeast of England, who will deliver the keynote address.

Tackling issues such as Scottish Government & Transport for Scotland’s approach to the issue, Drilling to Mine for Heat, drilling rigs progress to net zero and case studies/projects in Scotland, the event will explore innovations, approaches, and methodologies to take the drilling sector forward to net zero emissions by 2045.

The speakers include Tanja Waaser, Transport for Scotland; Kenny Paxton, Atkins; Angus McGregor of BAM Ritchies; Alison Monaghan, BGS Scotland and Dave Nevey, Fraste UK.

In addition to the excellent presentations, attendees will have the chance to engage in a Q&A session and network during the post seminar ‘Drinks & Canapés’ in the exhibition area.

The cost to attend is just £75 for BDA members or £100 non-members, and exhibition space is available at £300 for members and £600 for non-members.

The seminar theme (Net Zero) will also be taken to locations in London, and Midlands later in the year, with dates being announced in due course.
