happy rocktober 😑🎸
what you see above, my friends, is the most absurd of all the latte signatures squares i've drawn, freshly scribbled today at around 2pm eastern. it's quite representative of both how my september went and also how cafes need to put the ipad at an ANGLE not just perpendicular to the counter–there's truly no right way to communicate that to them, though. they're just trying to live their life, as am i.
october, so far, is different from the last several weeks. for one, this newsletter's type has changed to be more readable (see, i do read and respond to your electronic mail in response to my electronic mail). also, i do not have any trips scheduled. over the past 6 weeks i've been in 4 cities that were not my own and spoke at 3 events. it's been, much like myself, very fun and exhausting. it's also hard to get a good almond milk iced latte in some cities.
in being home for awhile, i anticipate a creative streak happening, especially in a month as inspiring as october. i have images of ghosts with big butts, pumpkins with long hot legs, and dracula with thick thighs going through my head. please don't forward this to my estranged father.
well it's time for me to go back to being yelled at on twitter for not being of service to strange men for once. in closing, here is a screencap of a lyric video for simple plan's opening single "welcome to my life" from their sophomore effort, "still not getting any...". the song, a teenager itself as it was released 14 years ago, had intentions to (according to wikipedia) "express teenage angst about life becoming so frustrating that no one can understand how awful it is for them. ". the songwriter, the band's lead pierre bouvier, was 25 at the time.
