whether internal or external, we call it a stomach. same for ears, noses, mouths, and (inaccurately) vaginas. but a sore neck is different than a sore throat. we see ear nose and throat (ent) doctors but not an ear nose and neck doctor.
as far as necks go, mine is pretty good. at a tech conference last year, i was being mic'd up by the a/v guy (it's literally always a guy) before i went on stage to give a talk and as he wired me up, he said "you have a lovely neck." although wildly inappropriate, i guess it was far better than hearing "you have a lovely throat" from a stranger.

my neck and throat may be high (approximately 5' 2") but my bar is quite low for social interaction.
my throat gets the job done when it comes to allowing air and food to pass through both directions. i had my tonsils removed from it when i was in 2nd grade, so i imagine there is some scarring.

i hit the one year mark in my and my partner, andy's, relationship this week, so i fortunately do not have to worry about what the men of tinder would say about photos of my possibly scarred throat. i should get professional photos of my throat to see if it is scarred and possibly to use as a conference head shot in Q4.
