Hello, Spring!

Spring is always a busy time for both music and art. I look forward to seeing you at one of the classes I'm teaching in April or one of my upcoming shows, and I hope one of you will win my large "Lucky Octopus" worth $325.

Raffle and Auction

UnChain My Art:  Every $10 you donate towards a craftsmen (like me!) gets you an entry to win their art (my "Lucky Octopus"). Come to the drawing and party Thursday, April 7 at 5:30pm at the Mississippi Craft Center in Ridgeland. (You do not have to be present to win). This is a raffle with great odds and a great cause. Please support the Craftmen's Guild and gimme some love! Read all about the story of this very special piece of art at Crowdrise. You can purchase tickets there, at the Craft Guild website, or in person, before or at the party, at the Craft Center, where it is on display. If you live out of town and win, I'll ship it at no charge, so join the raffle too, my far-away friends! This is a competition to see who can raise the most money. If I win, I get a free booth at the Chimneyville Craft Festival. Thank you so much!

Arts on the Green: Bid on my donated piece "Small Conversation" (#147). All items are featured online and displayed at Starry Night on April 15 and St. Andrew's Arts on the Green on April 16. Bidding ends on all items at 10:00 p.m. on April 19.

May 2-June 30, Reception in mid-May (TBA): I'm honored to be one of the artists for the Mississippi Library Commission Community Art Show for May and June this year. I'm creating a collection called "Eudora Welty's Birds" just for this show. Eudora Welty often referenced birds in her writing. I'm painting these birds, which will be displayed along with each corresponding book and quote. My works will hang for two months, and will be for sale. I'll share the date of the public reception, more details, and photos in April. I'm excited!
