Hello Braillist,

This is a quick update to announce two Braillists meetings over the next fortnight.

 - The 3rd Dublin Braillists group meeting on the 2nd of Feb, details to follow
 - Inaugural London Braillists group meeting on 430PM 20th of Jan, near Euston St

Both meetings will include the opportunity to try the latest Canute prototypes, the Mk10 and Mk11. As ever the best way to keep up with details for these meetings is to join the forums (, but you can also get in contact directly with the organisers.

# 3rd Dublin Braillists meeting on the 2nd of February

This meeting will begin a period of prototype testing of the Canute Mk11 in the NCBI and Child Vision, something which BBT and the Dublin Braillists have been arranging since the Internation Council for English Braille meeting in April of last year.

The details for this are still under discussion and will be published on the forums, but please do feel free to send an email to Stuart  Lawler ( or Ed Rogers ( if you would like to come.

# Inaugural London Braillists meeting on 20th of January

Kindly arranged by Laurent Cadet de Fontenay. If you cannot get there for 430PM please come along anyway, as we will be continuing into the evening.

"The first meeting of the London Braillists group is set for next
Friday, 20 January, at 16:30. It will take place at the UCL Student
Psychological Services, 3 Taviton Street, London, WC1H 0BT.

"The venue is a 5-minute walk from Euston station and a short walk or
taxi ride from the RNIB, for these of you attending the Braille
networking day. I could also arrange for you to be met at Euston

"There has never been a better time to join! :) The plan is for us to
discuss the objectives of the London Braillists group in terms of the
broader aims of supporting Braille literacy in general and the Canute
project in particular, and hopefully to plan some concrete activities.
Ed from Bristol Braille will be there to demonstrate the
Canute Mk10.

"We can then retire to a nearby pub to attend to more important business. :)

"Please let me know if you'd like to come. Simply reply to this email ( or contact me on 07894 292 647.

"Do come along, even if you just feel like checking things out for now.
You're most welcome."
