Hello Braillist,

A reminder of our Braillists meeting this coming Monday (18th May) in Bristol. We'll be hearing developing new Braille technology from the team of designers and engineers at Bristol Braille Technology. They'll be presenting the latest prototype of their Canute multi-line Braille ebook reader, radically redesigned and improved since its very successful inaugural public testing with us in September. The meeting will be in the Watershed's PM Studio but we'll be meeting in the Cafe Bar at 6pm and going through together as access is a little restricted. Please get in touch if you would like to attend and I'll send full details.

We'll be bringing this same presentation and testing session to the next Reading Braillists on Saturday 20th June, so get in contact if you'd like to be kept up to date with meeting details.

The meetings will mark the start of the Canute Home Testing programme with the opportunity to test a prototype of the Canute multiline Braille ebook reader in your own home for a few days. Testing will initially be within the Bristol and Reading areas and there are some conditions but if you would like to be part of this exciting new development please email me to register your interest. We are very much looking forward to home testing many more new Braille technologies and services.

We are very actively developing the Braillists and would love to have your input. We will be discussing the subject of future meetings, the services we can offer, and the things you'd like to see on the website and twitter on our forum. We think it's important that this is driven by the community so, to be part of the conversation, you can view and sign up to the forum through our website or subscribe by emailing and we'll start posting our ideas within the next couple of weeks. Full details are available on the forum web page or get in touch if you have any problems or questions.

You can also connect with us on twitter @Braillists and find all our contact details on our website.

I hope that all is well with you and look forward to meeting you at a Braillists event in the near future.
Best regards,
