What happened this week in PRSSA Houston?
This week, we heard from two Houston PR professionals that work in the world of theatre. Whitney Spencer, the Public Relations Manager at The Alley Theatre, and Lisa Holmes, the Public Relations and Communications Manager at Theatre Under The Stars, taught us the importance of creativity in public relations work. They also discussed the effects Hurricane Harvey had on their respective theaters, and how they handled that crisis professionally. Whitney advised us to giving new leaders within your company a rundown of important members of press, and Lisa informed us that positive relationships with press are the key to success for your company. If you missed out on this meeting, make sure to attend our next one with Jackie Wallace on April 9th.
