Hi TBA Partner and Supporter,
Well, it's Summertime. Life is officially resuming.
What life lesson(s) have you taken into the new world?
We are six months in and many more to go. Your commitment to this work is proving its worth one student and one family at a time. This year, we've learned a lot about our community, the work, and the beautiful humans The Bridge is called to serve. In January, we shared our programmatic priorities with you:

|
"At the beginning of 2021, The Bridge Academy expanded to address issues that deeply impact black and brown communities. We believe to address the academic challenges our young people face, we must address the issues that force themselves on the "front-row" of their lives."
- The Bridge Academy will provide Affordable housing options and support for youth and their families who are stuck in situations that keep them bound and without hope for a thriving future.
- The Bridge Academy will manage a Food Pantry to provide healthy food options directly to youth and their families. Thanks to YOU, we've already started the initial phases of this program!
- Within the next two years, The Bridge Academy will triple the number of young people we support to achieve academic success in high school and those who enter a GAP year program. TBA will prepare them to enter (and complete) postsecondary programs that lead to careers and entrepreneurship in high-demand career fields.

We now recognize that this is work rooted in Community Economic Development (CED). Community Economic Development's purpose is to revitalize communities, develop and rehabilitate affordable housing, promote sustainability, attract investments, build wealth, encourage entrepreneurship, and create jobs.
We are in pursuit of THIS! For our young people, their families, and our community.
And, YOU are our secret sauce! YOU make all the difference in TBA deepening its work. You see, we've also learned that it takes a village.
This is amazing work, and it demands partnership.
THANK YOU!!!

recommendation letter for a scholarship and another for a Spanish tutor position at GA State's Upward Bound program this Summer. We are happy to share she was awarded the scholarship and the tutoring position! YAY! Because of You, we can provide enriching academic and workforce development opportunities to brown and black young people across metro Atlanta!
THANKS to YOU we are on the verge of something BIG!

Check out our Food Closet. Well, it will eventually become a Food Pantry or even a community grocery store! Your support helps provide food bags for families living in extended-stay motels and those in the community who need additional support to eat throughout the month. Your financial support allows us to purchase food and partner with other food programs across the metro Atlanta area. This year, we have served over 250 youth families! Keep up the excellent work. Your support creates BIG opportunities!
