Hey Running Club!
From the Desk of the Secretary
Thanks to all of you who participated in Buckeyethon and supported a great cause this weekend! The Running Club team raised a total of $6,237, and the yellow team won the overall team competition!
The Kenyon Classic is our next indoor meet this Saturday, February 17th. You can find the meet schedule here. We will be leaving from the Union at 10am. Sign up to run here by midnight tonight! Gas fee for this race will be $5, and make sure to sign up for a ride here.
Running Club now has a sheet regarding top times for cross country and indoor/outdoor track! The sheet was made with times/marks from NIRCA XC Nationals 2016/2017, Tiffin and YSU 2018, and NIRCA Track & Field Championships 2016/2017. If you have a time that is faster (or a jump/throw that is further) than what is posted, contact Daisy Okpa. Please provide the time/mark along with the link to the meet ran for verification purposes. Top times will be limited to the top 25 for XC and top 10 for track. Check out the sheet here!
This Wednesday, February 14th at 7:30 PM will be our second pasta party of the semester at 171 E Northwood Ave. The theme will revolve around Valentine's Day, which will include: heart-shaped pasta, chocolate, various Valentine's candy, and cheesy cards that we all passed out in elementary. Next Sunday, February 18th at 4:30 PM a group will be getting together to watch the movie of the year: Black Panther. You can pick up general Gateway tickets at the Union for $3 each, 2 per BuckID per week. If you're purchasing your ticket at Gateway, it will be $6.50 with your BuckID. 1-2 x 10 min (T) w/ 2:00 active recovery + 1-2 x 5 min tempo (AT) w/ 2:00 active recovery + 10 x short hill bursts (continuous)
2-4 x 2000m intervals (T) w/ 1:30 active recovery + 1-2 x 400m repeats w/ full recovery
2-4 x 1mi repeats + 6-8 hill sprints

- Our club meets M/W/F at 4:30 PM at the Ohio Union West Plaza, T/Th from 7-8:30 PM at the French Field House, and Sundays at 9 AM for long runs. Nothing is mandatory, everything is optional!
