From the desk of the President
We have officially finished the 2019 track season! Jessica Wrenn broke the 100m dash record in the rain this Friday to cap off a record breaking year. Congrats to everyone who ran through the wind and rain!
Our End of the Year Dinner is tonight at 7pm in the Student-Alumni Room in the Union. We will have pizza and drinks, please let me know as soon as possible if you have any dietary restrictions and need an alternative.
Wholesome House will be hosting a celebration afterwords featuring an Easter Egg Hunt throughout the house as our final event of the year.
Tuesday: JO - Time TBD
Wednesday: RPAC lift @ 5:30
Thursday: JO @ 5:30 - Join us for a fun practice with random relays whether it be a 4x100 or a three legged race!
Friday: Fun Friday TBD
Registration for BuckeyeThon will be closing earlier than in years past. Typically it closed at the end of November and is now moved to the end of September. Take this as an opportunity to register earlier here and use summer as a way to fundraise! If you need any summer fundraising ideas, please don’t hesitate to contact me. We already have 6 people signed up for the running club team, so join us :)
We will be having our last volunteering event of the year this Saturday. We will be volunteering at a cheer station for the Cap City Half-Marathon. Anyone who volunteers will be eligible for a FREE race entry in any of M3S Sports’ future races, so be sure to sign up for Cheer Station #2 here and RSVP via the Facebook event.
- Our club meets at 5:30 PM at the Ohio Union West Plaza Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for easy runs; 5:30 PM at the RPAC for Sprinter lifts; 5:30 PM at Jesse Owens Stadium on Tuesdays and Thursdays for workouts; and Sundays at 9 AM at the Ohio Union for long runs. Nothing is mandatory, everything is optional!
- We have a Facebook group (linked here), which along with this newsletter and our website is how we pass along information to all of the running club's members. To join this Facebook group simply search "Ohio State Running Club", or click the link above, and make sure you select the group, not the page. Once you request to join, one of our officers with approve you shortly.
- Looking for the information session presentation? You can find it here!
If you have any questions, please reach out to one of the officers or to the club email, email@example.com.
