We're going ahead with the 2018 Autism Dialogue programme!

Hello again. I last emailed you with the unfortunate news that we were unsuccessful in the funding bid for our Dialogue research programme.  But despite zero funding for research, we are going ahead with the project, which begins on May 18th!  Nothing has really changed and the dates are already set. There will be an informal optional survey and completion is all we ask in return for your attendance. We're sorry that if you live far away you might not be able to join us due to lack of travel expenses, but we still strongly encourage you to attend.  We are proud to be the host of this unique, participatory autism project in the UK, the first of its kind anywhere in the world and fully backed by a number of organisations.  We hope you will consider participating in the programme as a person who’s life, work or research is connected to Autism.

To book see the link at foot of this email.

The dates for the programme are:
Series 1 (Autistic and non-autistic delegates) – May 18th / June 15th / July 20th
Series 2 (Autistic delegates only) – Aug 10th / Sep 21st / Oct 12th

Conference: Dec 14th

Sheffield Autism Partnership Board agreed wholeheartedly to support Autism Dialogue at a recent meeting, which means even more key professionals and researchers from the field of autism will be in attendance at the forthcoming programme. APB has begun their strategy with a good number of autistic people on the board, helping to drive it with some vital input. We're backed by a number of other organisations including PARC and the Academy of Professional Dialogue, we have joined forces with Sheffield Autism Research Lab and  Sheffield Autistic Society and forged links with Sheffield Hallam Autism Research Partnership.  At a time where our Autism Strategy is being forged, these key organisations' powerful support and engagement is dynamically very important and a chance for you to engage with many interesting and supportive people from right across the autism community!
After the first few sessions, we will be inviting speakers for our conference in December. We've lots more coming up including:  There will be NO CHARGE for our Dialogue events and we are run as a small volunteer group.  Please get in touch with any ideas for supporting our aims

Thank you for your time.
  • The only difference between the two sets of dates is if you are Autistic or not.
  • Non-autistic people can only attend the first three sessions.
  • Autistic people can and are encouraged to attend all six sessions.
  • Attendance at all sessions in your group is a preferred requisite, due to the deepening nature of dialogue over several sessions.
