Hello October.......
Don't you love autumn? We still have the sun without the burning intensity but the nights are cooler and it feels good to get in the hot room. We are so happy to see many folks returning to practice at the studio after a summer break. Read on to find out all of the goings on and new offerings. If there is something you would like to suggest we offer then please let us know, we try our best to accommodate.
What is Moksha Yoga and why are classes inspired by it????

"Moksha Yoga was built on the dream of having independently owned (but community-driven) studios that share their ideas, their love of conservation, an awesome hot yoga series rooted in the traditional teachings of yoga and yoga therapy concepts, and a passion for our 7 philosophical pillars." - Mokshayoga.ca

While we aren't an actual Moksha studio here at the Nest, most of our teachers have completed the 500 hour Moksha Yoga Level 1 teacher training (Sarah-Jane has also completed Moksha flow and Moksha Level 2 training) and we strive to live up to all that Moksha Yoga (known as Modo Yoga internationally) is rooted in and stands for. The 7 philosophical pillars are a great place to start understanding what it is about Moksha Yoga that inspires us.

Moksha/Modo Yoga Pillar #3 - Live Green
6 week pre-registered Qi Gong session with Naomi Jason

Qi Gong, or the mastery of ‘energy’, refers to the ancient Chinese system of visualizations and moving meditations used to cultivate the flow of energy within the body.

This gentle yet deep class is an invitation to bring awareness and vitality to your body, mind and spirit.  Using the breath and simple repetitive movements, Naomi guides you to cleanse, tonify and balance the organs and systems of your body.   You will learn basic principles of Chinese 5 element theory (the basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture), as well as attitudes and practices to cultivate health.

Developing an inward ‘eye’, we are able to harness our strength and come back into sync with our being’s true flow.  Qi Gong is a wake up, a clearing of grogginess in the cells, a renewal and rejuvenation of awareness and a reverence for all that is inside and out.

Fridays October 16th - November 20th, 11:15am-12:30pm
$80 per person. Max 6 people.
