COVID-19 Law Lab Launches
The COVID-19 Law Lab initiative is a joint project of the World Health Organization, United Nations Development Programme, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, the ONeill Institute for National and Global Health Law, and Georgetown University. The lab gathers and shares legal documents from over 190 countries across the world to help states establish and implement strong legal frameworks to manage the pandemic.

Conditional Reprogramming: A Novel Way to Study the Novel Coronavirus

Xuefeng Liu, M.D., professor of pathology and oncology, and his team have been working to figure out how the coronavirus enters healthy cells and whether it’s possible to block that mechanism with antiviral drugs. 

NYC Urban Fellow, Alumnus Responds to Pandemic Housing Crisis

Isaiah Fleming-Klink (SFS’19), an Urban Fellow in the New York City Office of the Deputy Mayor for Housing and Economic Development, has been working hard since the COVID-19 crisis hit. He has spent the past few months reviewing policies surrounding unlawful evictions of renters by their landlords.

Georgetown University Medical Center biochemist Mark Danielsen, PhD, applies patented technology invented by himself and former Georgetown colleagues, towards developing a faster and more accurate SARS-CoV-2 test.

The U7+ Worldwide Student Forum brought together 85 students from 22 universities across the U7+ Network, an international alliance of universities committed to tackling global issues.
