Survey Results:
Sustainability Challenges

Last month, we asked this group of nonprofit leaders to offer insight into your biggest sustainability challenge. Here are the results:
Half of you shared that your biggest difficulty is related to growth, and another large portion confessed it was a fiscal challenge. The Case Foundation wrote, "This [growth] challenge is compounded by scarce resources and an incomplete understanding of what works. In this context, simply thinking about growth is difficult, and planning for growth can feel like an indulgence."

You are not alone if this is the biggest challenge for your organization, and Ambassador Advisors would love to offer our partnership. We can offer insight and strategies to prepare for the future!
We've heard from many of you how helpful our Planned Giving Scorecard benchmarking information has been, so we're providing the opportunity for you to continue sharing with many other nonprofit leaders in a confidential way. With our monthly Nonprofit Notes email blasts, we now include simple one-question surveys that will allow you to share your thoughts on a specific topic with other nonprofit leaders.

This Month's Question:

What is the biggest growth opportunity for your nonprofit organization's future?
Prioritizing and focusing funding opportunities
Improving staff and donor retention rates
New or expanded programs and services
New possibilities due to modern technology

As above, we will share the full results in our next email!

A Philanthropic Landmark

Giving USA just released their 2018 review, and we've reached a milestone. "Americans achieved a philanthropic landmark in 2017: for the first time total charitable giving surpassed $400 billion in a single year." We hope and pray that your organization's donors are part of this up-tick and supporting your mission with faithful generosity.

The report continues, "Giving from individuals, bequests, foundations and corporations to U.S. charities surged to an estimated $410.02 billion, an increase of 5.2 percent over the previous year. Americans gave generously, and the growth was virtually across the board." As your partner, we look forward to the continued growth of charitable gifts in your organization's future!
