From The Editor's Desk

Happy Friday!

The evenings are starting to get warmer again, and have been the perfect temperature to enjoy the evening without wearing a light jacket. The days continue to be sunny and warm - ideal weather for a day on the beach, surfing, or going out on a boat.

Costa Verde's Annual Fundraiser, a Luau Party this year, was Wednesday, and as always, was great fun! There are still some large ticket items available for bid, so if you missed out, you still have a chance to bid on these great items! You'll find more details about this below in the blurb, "Costa Verde's Luau and Adopt a Scholar Program."

Thank you for reading this edition of El Sayulero!

The owners and head chef at “O” Restaurant definitely take advantage of the amount of locally caught fish in Sayulita and surrounding towns. Read More

JIM STARKEY CAPTURES SAYULITA'S VIVID SPIRIT

When I first saw the artwork Jim Starkey proposed for this year’s Pro Sayulita Fiesta poster, I was elated!  “Wow!” was my first impression.  My second thought was, “How can we ever top this image?” His colorful and energetic painting was unanimously chosen by the fiesta committee for its grand fundraising event on March 16th.  Read More

THANK YOU FROM CASA NAMASTE

As you are most likely aware, Casa Namaste experienced a traumatic event approximately 20 days ago. If it had not been for this spectacular community, for my caring neighbors, for the volunteer fireman, the lifeguards, and many others that I am unable to name, not only would have Casa Namaste been more badly damaged by fire, but many more homes would have been potentially damaged. Read More

PET OF THE WEEK

Hola! I am Ana, a 3 year old, female, pittbull piggy mix. I was found in really bad condition. I was skin and bones, full of ticks and had just had puppies. I am now feeling much better and have gained weight, am bug free, and ready for adoption. I am a distemper survivor, which has left me with a small twitch in my mouth. My foster thinks it is really cute and gives me character. I am the sweetest dog you will ever meet. I am calm, love to be by a humans side, get along great with other dogs, cats, horses, and chickens. I enjoy beach walks and snuggling. I would not be the best pet for a runner, because I'm a low rider and my legs are too short to run fast. hehehe. If you are looking for a loyal, sweet tempered, no issues dog.....look no further! Let my friends at Sayulitanimals know if you would like to meet me! Contact SayulitAnimals here
