Tamra Koch, originally from Venice, California, moved to Sayulita 15 years ago. Wanting to make a difference in the lives of children in Sayulita, she co-founded Costa Verde International School and is also the President of the Board of Directors. While Tamra tries to volunteer for as many things as she can in the community, the school has become a full time volunteer position for her the past eight years. Read More

PALMAR TRAPICHE IN SAYULITA
With the opening of Palmar Trapiche on December 14th, Sayulita has a great new spot for craft beer lovers and foodies. Located on the North side of town on Av. del Palmar, this restaurant is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Palm trees and foliage surround the long wooden tables that are paired with chairs in vibrant colors of yellow and turquoise, while accent lights, string lights, and up-tempo music add to the inviting ambiance. BITE THIS: TO RESUME NEXT ISSUE
I am back, loyal readers and royal eaters, and so “Bite This” will resume next El Sayulero. I tried to get to “O” at Villa Amor this week, but I was thwarted. As many of you know, the road to Villa Amor is a narrow, one way path. OCEAN SAFETY IN SAYULITA
Firefighters Crossing Borders and Pro Sayulita have been working directly with Proteccion Civil to build a new Lifeguard tower and to sign the Northside Beach. Our previous signs and tower were washed out to sea during the Fall Storm Season. As residents, we are all aware of the potential dangers on this beach. It is our social duty to make sure our visitors are also aware of these possible dangers. Read More
