LA GRANJA: PRO SAYULITA'S
ANNUAL RANCHERO FUNDRAISER

Believe it or not, Pro Sayulita’s third annual Ranchero fiesta, La Granja, is quickly approaching and will take place on Wednesday, December 14th at 4:30pm. This fundraiser, which benefits the community of Sayulita, always sells out and is sure to be a great time. Jack Jones, President of Pro Sayulita, tells El Sayulero more about this not to be missed fundraiser.

SAYULITA TRAFFIC CONTROL NEEDS YOUR DONATIONS

The traffic control is donation funded: Please help Pro Sayulita maintain this effort by donating here.  The main road into and out of Sayulita, Avenida Revolucion, remains closed while under reconstruction. The closure begins at the Punta Mita highway and continues to the entrance to town, just past the bus station. All residents, visitors, and rental guests must drive down Calle Pelicanos or Calle Libertad and pass through el centro to reach the north or south neighborhoods of Sayulita. This closure will continue through the Christmas holiday and beyond.

ALTERNATE ROUTES IN SAYULITA

With the construction of the new Sayulita Boulevard, the main entrance to town is closed. Fortunately, there are alternate routes available to make travel to and from town possible. Please make note that some roads are now one-way.

AN INTERVIEW WITH ADIL SCHINDLER

Adil Schindler and his partner, Camilla Fuchs, first visited Sayulita approximately seven years ago while living in Puerto Vallarta for a few months. They both fell in love with the pueblo and had a desire to settle here one day, which happened in the summer of 2014 after a move from Cabo San Lucas. His business, Waterproof Video, was founded in 2006 during a one year stay in Egypt. SAYULITA DOG SERVICES: AN INTERVIEW WITH NICOLE ROSE

Nicole Rose, originally from Oregon, moved to Sayulita on a quest to learn how to surf. She was only planning on staying for 4 months, but after just a short time here, she knew she’d stay. An animal lover, Nicole adopted her dog, Chula, a friendly, smiling Xolo mix, from SayulitAnimals. Recognizing a need for trustworthy and knowledgeable dog sitters in Sayulita, she recently opened Sayulita Dog Services.

RENEW RESET / CLEANSE WITH
NUTRIFY FOR LIFE IN SAYULITA

You’ve likely been there before: You wake up and for whatever reason, you simply don’t feel good about yourself. Well, this happened to me about two weeks ago, and upon reflection, I realized that I had been too caught up in the social scene of Sayulita, going out nearly every night and not making my health and wellbeing a priority. Fortunately, I heard that Katie Davis, owner of Nutrify for Life in Sayulita, was offering a 5-day RENEW Reset / Cleanse that was set to start in a few days.

LIVE, LOVE & EAT IN SAYULITA:
JALAPENO CHEESE BISCUITS

Everyone loves to eat appies at parties. They have become one of my specialties and Jalapeño Cheese Biscuits is one that everyone loves! Take these to your next Sayulita party and I guarantee that you will receive rave reviews! They are my #1 favorite to make and to eat!

EL SAYULERO DEAL OF THE WEEK:

Buddha Gallery is now offering a large selection of their clothing (unique Bohemian style) at 20-75% off! This special deal goes through the end of November!

LA VEGA CIGARS & RUM: AN INTERVIEW WITH MARIA CASTRO

La Vega Cigars & Rum, which opened just five months ago, brings a unique experience and a taste of Cuba to Sayulita. From the minute one steps foot into the inviting air conditioned space, sees the impressive humidor, and are greeted by the friendly faces of the managers, Maria Castro and Canek Sosa, one feels right at home. From a truly impressive selection of cigars and rum to making exceptional mojitos to teaching newbies how to smoke a cigar, this is one place that’s worth checking out. Maria sits down with El Sayulero to share about this not to be missed spot.

PET OF THE WEEK

Hello! My name is Swella. I'm a young female dog who got abandoned. I'm a little shy at first, but then blossom. I love to snuggle, I get on well with other dogs, and I am house trained. Oh, and I'm a great size of only 7 kg! My foster mom says that I make a great companion. Do you want me in your life?

BITE THIS: THE DON MARISCOS PASTA AT LA RUSTICA

La Rustica, at Revolucion 110, is busy from the minute it opens and its popularity is well deserved. There is a big focus on pizza and pasta.   For me, a pizza must start with a great crust—nice and thin, with a crisp edge and just a little char, a result only a hot, wood fired brick oven can give.

SURF SAYULITA: CONGRATULATIONS DIEGO CADENA
AND FELIPE RODRIGUEZ LORENZO

The ISA SUP World Championships were in Fiji November 12-20. Felipe Rodriquez Lorenzo placed 8th in the men's SUP Surf, and Diego Cadena placed first in the Reef Surf Open November 11-13 in Puerto Escondido.
