Mamma Mia Ristorante Italiano

Mamma Mia Ristorante Italiano, located in the heart of Sayulita, first opened its doors in July of 2014, and already this top-notch Italian restaurant has made its mark. A few months back, they were voted “Best of Sayulita 2014” in the “Best Pasta” category in an online viewers’ poll on SayulitaLife.com. The owner, Marco Pimpinelli, is originally from Milan, Italy, but moved to Sayulita three years ago."My family and I were living in Puerto Vallarta and we came to Sayulita for a vacation weekend. I liked the town and thought that it was a better place for my daughter to live, so I looked for a business,"  Marco shared.

Bringing Acupuncture to Sayulita

In 2006, Michael Abramson, owner of Sayulita Acupuncture and Massage, stumbled across Sayulita. In the area for a wedding, he had heard that Sayulita was known for its surfing, and made the hour drive from Puerto Vallarta to check it out. Not only did he find waves, he also discovered that the town was home to several different types of healing modalities. “There was yoga, massage, and rolfing, and I thought, ‘Where is the local acupuncturist?’ There was none, and all of a sudden, the ultimate dream became an inspiring vision for me,” Michael confided.

Working Out with Sweat Play Live

There’s something to be said about a good workout. I’ve always loved a workout that gets my heart pumping, my body sweating, and leaves no doubt that I’ve pushed myself. So, last week I decided to mix up my workout routine and check out two exercise classes that Shanti Tilling, owner of Sweat Play Live, teaches, and many Sayulita locals and tourists rave about.

Please Beeee Kind... Protecting Pollinators from Pesticides
Protects People Too

The Grade 5 and 6 classes at Costa Verde International School are studying the very important theme of pollination. Due to the alarming global decline in bee and butterfly populations, this theme is both an interesting learning topic as well as an important subject for raising awareness and taking action.

What Do You Do to
Relax in Sayulita?

Hop in my friend's car (usually with the dogs) and visit a quiet isolated nearby beach. The walk through the jungle is always impressive, no matter which beach has been decided. If it's a full day, a book and picnic are always in order. Not only do I love it, but the dogs do too.
Raul Gonzalez

Surf and drink some beers.
