It was Thursday morning and I was at Don Pedro’s Palapa in Sayulita, which offers an amazing view of the bay, excitedly awaiting an alignment oriented yoga class by Jim Gallas. The air was crisp, a subtle breeze blew, and I could hear birds chirping nearby and the soft crash of waves below.

Garlands Del Rio Boutique hotel, which opened in October of 2015, is situated along the Cuale River in Old Town in Puerto Vallarta. This bed and breakfast, which is just over an hour south of Sayulita, offers a relaxing and luxurious oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city. Now after the recent addition of eight new rooms, there are a total of 17 rooms available for guests.

Sayulita mourns the passing of Daniel Pessina, owner of Gusto Artisan Food Market. May he rest in peace. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Last column I promised you salad dressings, but they say that it is a woman’s prerogative to change her mind. That being said, I absolutely have to share with you the most delicious Flaky Cinnamon Roll Biscuits that I have made three times in the past two weeks. My daughter and her family were just visiting us here in Sayulita and my 3 and a half year old grandson, Lucas, loves cinnamon buns. I found a recipe that seemed much easier and way faster to prepare than using yeast.

Joy is contagious in beautiful, colorful Sayulita!

Hi there! I'm Jodie, a female Poodle Mix. I lived with my brother with a family who moved away and just left us behind. We waited and waited for days in front of the house for them to come back for us but never did. Thankfully someone saw us and fed us and finally SayulitAnimals came to get me. I have a slight limp due to an old injury which does not bother me. I'm sweet, loving, calm, and get along very well with other dogs. I'm only 5 kg and probably around 4 years old. If you are looking for an easy-to-have small dog, look no more!
