Costa Verde's 10th annual fundraiser last night was a huge hit, and the Bollywood theme couldn't have been more fun! Between the delicious Indian food, the fabulous costumes, the impressive performances, and the awesome selection of silent and live auction items, this was definitely the perfect way to raise funds for the school's scholarship funds.

It was great seeing so many familiar faces and Sayulita residents, including visitors, come together to support such an important entity in Sayulita. If you missed the party this year, you can still contribute to the CVIS scholarship fund by making a donation through the CVIS website. THE WEDDING MEXICO:
AN INTERVIEW WITH REBECA MAGANA

Rebeca Magana, originally from Mexico City and the owner of The Wedding Mexico, first came to the Sayulita area in February 2001. Like many people she knew, she found the area a beautiful place to live and decided to make Puerto Vallarta (just South of Sayulita) her home. Her dream to become a wedding planner began in 2004, and in 2009 became a reality!

SAVING THE WHALES IN SAYULITA

Today I am meeting Nicky Ransome, who originally hales from Britain, from ‘La Orca de Sayulita’. She has invited me to go whale watching with her, and I am beyond excited to meet both this passionate young woman, and the whales of Sayulita.

Nicky won an international full paid scholarship (which was very competitive) to undertake her project, researching and eventually protecting the whales, for her PhD at Murdoch University, Australia.

A RELAXING TREAT IN SAYULITA:
A PRIVATE YOGA CLASS WITH EVA ESTLANDER YOGA

It was early Thursday evening and it had been another busy day, leaving me feeling exhausted and drained. As I took my place on the yoga mat at Don Pedro’s Brisa Mar Palapa in Sayulita, I could feel the day’s stress already start to melt away. A gentle, cool breeze, the scent of incense, and the sound of waves hitting the shore further enhanced my relaxation as I prepared for my first private yin yoga class with Eva Estlander Yoga, in which she is in high demand.

PET OF THE WEEK

I'm Negrito, a true warrior and survivor! I was beaten as a pup because I was slow, and then because I was slow I got run over and was paralyzed. I was rescued and in only 4 months of intensive care, treatment, exercise, and LOVE, I am able to walk and even run. Do you have room in your home and heart for me?
