Re-Creation Party

On Oct. 28, we held a party at Agave in Avon to celebrate the unveiling of our new name. High school students and other participants got a hands-on opportunity to learn about live television broadcast at several stations, including two cameras, a video switcher and guest host.

We followed this up with a live broadcast of our program, The Community Project. This episode featured musical act Rocky Mountain Grateful Dead Revue, a history of High Five Access Media, Neat News with Max America and DJ Scratch 'n' Sniff, and so much more. Click here to view The Community Project.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success: Students, volunteers, attendees, cast, crew, Rocky Mountain Grateful Dead Revue and Agave. You all rock!

Create your community. High Five Access Media is dedicated to offering Eagle County residents, students and nonprofits the opportunity to learn about media production so you can express your ideas and advocate for a cause on local television and the web. Our workshops offer you the chance to pursue a career, continue learning, chase a hobby, and get the word out about your nonprofit. You create the idea, we provide the equipment and know how.

A Space to Tell Your Story
By Drew Kartos

I think it’s fair to say the Vail Valley is no longer the hidden gem it used to be, that is, when peering in from the outside. However, as a local, I’ve learned that there is still much to be discovered about its mixed bag of interesting people. That’s why I turned to digital storytelling, and with the help of High Five Access Media (HFAM), I’ve been able to share my own powerful stories.
