CCNB Crews Adapt to New Work Environment
The team at CCNB has been working tirelessly to provide resources for our corpsmembers and our community since before the shelter in place order took hold. When work initially stopped for the 87 young people actively in our program, our first priority was ensuring they had access to the resources they needed to navigate new barriers to their basic needs. Our CCNB family rose to the occasion to secure emergency support, and for that, we are incredibly grateful.

Simultaneously, our program staff has been working around the clock to find work projects that would not only serve our community and provide a paycheck for some corpsmembers but also incorporate updated safety protocols to protect all involved. Thanks to this team, our community partners, and our dedicated elected officials, we are proud to report that approximately one-third of our corpsmembers are now back to work and accomplishing the following:
  • Essential fire fuel reduction work on public lands in Marin and Sonoma County
  • Packaging and distributing food to community members in need at Canal Alliance and Marin Community Clinics locations in partnership with the County of Marin
  • Servicing recycling and trash bins in areas still open to the public
While our offices remain closed except for essential business operations, and much of our staff is working from home, we remain dedicated to the well-being of our corpsmembers and communities. We look forward to a time when we can gather and celebrate how all involved rose to this unprecedented challenge.
Dine to Support CCNB on April 22nd!
Earth Day is coming up! If you're looking for a safe way to celebrate this year, look no further.

Our friends at Marche Aux Fleurs in Ross are hosting a dine and donate to benefit CCNB and our corpsmembers THIS Wednesday. While none of us will be able to dine in, all orders that are picked up will bring 20% of proceeds to CCNB!

We hope you will consider treating yourself to an earth-friendly feast while supporting two local businesses in this trying time. Call (415) 925-9200 or go online to marcheauxfleursrestaurant.com to place your order for pickup.
