2015 Cohort 3 completes Pacific Desk OSTP

August 28, 2015, Honolulu, HI.  For the last 4 weeks, Bates Manea (Cook Islands), Hingano Laufoli (Niue), Siutiti Tapu (Tonga) and Tevita Taufa (Tonga) have been participating in the Pacific Desk On-Site Training Program in Honolulu, Hawaii (OSTP) learning, shadowing and receiving training from meteorologists, forecasters and specialists at the US NWS Weather Forecast Office on the University of Hawaii at Manoa, International Tsunami Warning Center, Joint Typhoon Warning Center, KHON2, Pacific Desk and many more.  The Pacific Desk OSTP includes training on meteorology and weather-related communication systems such as RANET Chatty Beetle, satellite communications and short messaging systems.  Friday, August 28, 2015, 2015 C3 fulfilled all training requirements to successfully complete the OSTP Honolulu.  Congratulations 2015 C3!
